SHARK BYTES with CHRISSChriss Anglin ANGLIN

Chriss Anglin is a face you know, but a name that may be unfamiliar to many of you. However, that won’t be the case for long. Already a seasoned veteran with a multiplicity of tv and films roles to his credit, including “Dead Men Walking”, “Dracula’s Curse”, “The Hitman Chronicles”, “Friendly Fire”, “General Hospital”, “One Life to Live” and “Passions”, Anglin is instantly recognizable, not only for his obvious good looks (and some incredible Paul Newman baby blues), but for his on screen presence. With his latest role, starring as John F. Kennedy in David Zucker’s hilarious political spoof AN AMERICAN CAROL, Anglin solidifies himself not only as someone with leading man qualities, but goes toe to toe with the likes of Kelsey Grammer and Kevin Farley, stealing every scene from these comic masters.

I had a chance to talk to Anglin about AN AMERICAN CAROL. Here’s what he had to say... READ THE INTERVIEW

TWO LOVERSTwo Lovers Poster

Set in the insular world of Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, TWO LOVERS is a classic romantic drama, with Joaquin Phoenix giving a raw and vulnerable performance as Leonard, a charismatic but troubled young man who moves back into his childhood home following a recent heartbreak. While recovering under the watchful eye of his parents (Isabella Rossellini and Moni Monoshov), Leonard meets two women in quick succession: Michelle (Gwyneth Paltrow), a mysterious and beautiful neighbor who is exotic and out-of-place in Leonard's staid world, and Sandra, the lovely and caring daughter of a businessman who is buying out his family's dry-cleaning business.

Leonard becomes deeply infatuated by Michelle, who seems poised to fall for him, but is having a self-destructive affair with a married man. At the same time, mounting pressure from his family pushes him towards committing to Sandra. Leonard is forced to make an impossible decision – between the impetuousness of desire and the comfort of love “ or risk falling back into the darkness that nearly killed him.

Directed and co-written by James Gray (We Own the Night), TWO LOVERS stars Joaquin Phoenix, Gwyneth Paltrow, Vinessa Shaw, Isabella Rossellini, John Ortiz, and Moni Moshonov.  The screenplay is by James Gray & Richard Menello.  TWO LOVERS is produced by Donna Gigliotti, James Gray, and Anthony Katagas.

LITTLE ASHES opening March 2009little ashes poster

The young life and loves of artist Salvador Dali, filmmaker Luis Buñuel and writer Federico Garcia Lorca.

In 1922, Madrid is wavering on the edge of change as traditional values are challenged by the dangerous new influences of Jazz, Freud and the avant-garde. Salvador Dali arrives at the university; 18 years old and determined to become a great artist. His bizarre blend of shyness and rampant exhibitionism attracts the attention of two of the university's social elite - Federico Garcia Lorca and Luis Buñuel. Salvador is absorbed into their decadent group and for a time Salvador, Luis and Federico become a formidable trio, the most ultra-modern group in Madrid. However as time passes, Salvador feels an increasingly strong pull towards the charismatic Federico - who is himself oblivious of the attentions he is getting from his beautiful writer friend, Margarita. Finally, in the face of his friends' preoccupations - and Federico's growing renown as a poet - Luis sets off for Paris in search of his own artistic success. Federico and Salvador spend the holiday in the sea-side town of Cadaques. Both the idyllic surroundings and the warmth of the Dali family sweep Federico off his feet. Salvador and he draw closer, sharing their deepest beliefs, inspirations and secrets, convinced that they have found a kind of friendship undreamt of by others. It is more that a meeting of the minds; it is a fusion of souls
